Tintern Abbey

Tintern Abbey visit

On a cold but dry and sunny day we made the short drive from home to visit Tintern Abbey.
Tintern Abbey is a Cistercian abbey and is one of the great monastic ruins of the English and Welsh border area. It was only the second Cistercian foundation in Britain

Viewed from pulpit rock.

Pony's in the woods above the abbey.

Dan-Yr-Ogof Battle of Britain Series

The cold weather -6C at night had reduced the water level to allow us a nice easy dive into the Battle of Britain Series. We had a good look around and found enough to come back again.

Icicles and crocodiles at the entrance

The mist in the photographs is caused by heat coming of the divers.
